35 EGWML Members, some with their canine friends, pitched up on a lovely sunny Sunday morning this month for a guided walk around key parts of the East Court estate.
The tenures of the estate were explained along with the new circular walking path that is currently being formed. Chris Nunn, the EGWML Chairman who led the walk, explained some of the history of the wood and some of the problems and opportunities facing the estate today.
David Terry, the Landscapes Manager of MSDC and Kate Ryland, the independent ecologist who is preparing the new 10yr Management Plan accompanied the members and were on hand to answer lots of questions.
The walk ended up with hot drinks and cakes courtesy of Ashplats Conservation Group.
